- A written quoteGet an itemised quote that covers materials, labour, timing, and what happens if the job changes.

Getting started
- Describe the job. What needs doing, where, and when you'd like it done.
- Shortlist two or three. Look at the trades and services each business lists and where it is based.
- Compare quotes. Ask each of them for a written quote for the same job, so the prices can be compared.
- Agree in writing. Confirm the price, start date and payment schedule before work begins.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose between bricklayers in London?
Compare two or three. Look at the kind of work each one lists, ask for references and photos of similar jobs, and get a written, itemised quote before you agree to anything.
How much does a bricklayer cost?
It depends on the size of the job, materials, access, and how soon you need it done. Most trades quote a fixed price for a defined job and a day or hourly rate for small repairs. Asking two or three local businesses for a written quote is the quickest way to see the going rate in London.
Does Builder Finder UK check the businesses it lists?
No. Builder Finder UK is a directory: a listing is not a recommendation, and we do not check qualifications, registrations or insurance. Ask each business for evidence of whatever the job needs before work starts.
